The Habs Dragons Den is a biennial event which first ran in 2016 and since 2020 has included particpants from the Girls' School. The aim of the initiative is to encourage entrepreneurial spirit amongst the pupils as well as help presentation skills, creativity and ability to think on their feet. The Dragons this year were Nica Burns OBE (OH 1973), multi award winning producer of over 100 productions and founder of Nimax Theatres, Tim Campbell MBE, Regional Head of Africa and Trading Futures and an advisor to Lord Sugar on The Apprentice, Shobi Khan CEP of the Canary Wharf Group PLC and Emma Woods, CEO of Wagamama. The winning ideas were 'Nod Pods' from the Girls' School team, offering a convenient solution to tired drivers, sleep deprived doctors and 'Wastigator from the Boys' School team, recycling using waste from school and hospital kitchens to produce fuel.
