We were delighted to hear from Jennifer Hurst (Walker) after she read about Rosemary Campling (OH 1955) in the previous alumnae newsletter.
'Rosemary taught me Physical Education at Croham Hurst School in South Croydon in the late fifties around1955-1966. I think she came straight from P.E. college. I knew she had married and gone to Canada; not sure how!
I went onto train as a P.E. teacher and was head of P.E at Habs from 1977-1982. She was one of the teachers who inspired me to teach P.E. I knew I wanted to teach it from an early age!'
Jennifer took many Habs students on ski trips and still enjoys skiing in her seventies.
Do get in touch with your school memories, we love to hear from alumnae!
